    This happened on WSOP too (I think it was the 2009 main event). But since it was a tornament there was no bad beat jackpot.

    Not sure where you’re getting those numbers. The loser (bad beat victim) gets 35%. The winner of the hand gets 17.5%. The remaining players divide the other 17.5%.

    So 70% of it is paid to the players, and the remaining 30% goes towards the next jackpot.
